Sarah Breton is an artist based in Southern Maine. Breton has long been inspired by themes ranging from the metaphysical to ideas about perception. Usually this manifests in her work through the format of science fictional themes; more specifically space vehicles and apparatuses. Sarah’s works create spaces where the viewer can enter or leave themselves of their own accord. This is achieved by (yet not limited to) materials such as broken circuitry; audio, video, paint and wood, as well as written word. Her wish is to render tangible a shared inner dimension that we all have. Sarah received her BFA from the Maine College of Art & Design in the spring of 2022. Currently, she is continuing her art practice while raising her son and working on real-life submarines.
